After starting out together in their first cover band “Life’s Too Short”, ShereenTeixeira and Markus Saastamoinen have joined forces again to form “Shezzam” the fresh musical experience in Melbourne. Combining soulful vocals, sweet guitars and an entertaining stage show, Shezzam deliver in spades. Over the years, Shereen has worked as a studio session singer for hire; lead vocalist, backing vocalist, and song writer, co-writing and performing with Ross Wilson and alongside Jimmy Barnes and Lee Kernaghan as a Maton endorsed artist. A few highlights have been performing at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Espy and her time in Los Angeles and Nashville. In 2020 Shereen has returned to the Melbourne music scene; Now fronting CherryBomb band, the Cherrybomb Acoustic Duo and Shezzam Acoustic Duo at Crown Casino, as well working with Battlestar Acoustica Duo, Inxsive – The Inxs Tribute and the Billy Idol tribute show. Shereen has the power to captivate an audience with her beautiful voice, musical ability and engaging personality. Markus Saastamoinen has been a working musician for over two decades. Playing venues all over Australia in cover and tribute acts such as Life’s Too Short,Bedrock, Action Sam and Inxsive, he has built up a large repertoire of songs in different genres, blending his powerful vocals with a truly unique guitar style. Their song list ranges from the 60’s, all the way through to today, across many different styles and genres. “Shezzam” are the musical experience not to be missed.
